McKenna Patterson

Hey there! I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative, supportive, and tailored to the unique needs of each person. My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, meaning I believe people are inherently capable of growth and healing, and that clients are the experts of their own lives. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I work to meet clients where they are and walk alongside them with compassion, curiosity, guidance, and practical support throughout their healing journey.

I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted. I understand that healing looks different for everyone, so I tailor the therapeutic process to each individual’s needs, strengths, and goals. I often incorporate interventions and skills from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and self-understanding.

My clinical interests include working with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, emotional regulation difficulties, life transitions, and relationship or interpersonal challenges. I also have training in providing neuroaffirming care and work to accommodate sensory and processing needs within the therapy space. Above all, I aim to create an environment where clients feel comfortable showing up as their authentic selves without fear of judgment.

I recognize that healing is not linear, and I believe meaningful change happens through a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, collaboration, and authenticity. I would be honored to be trusted with your care and to support you in moving toward healing, growth, and a more fulfilling life.
